The school council were the guests of the Mayoress at the Guildhall on Wednesday 1st December. The Mayoress took time from her very busy schedule to explain the role she played in the City of Cambridge. Josie Pietersen was voted in as the Mayoress of Ridgefield and she had the opportunity to wear the Mayoress’ robes and put on her chain. Josie enjoyed being the Mayoress but decided that the robes and chain were too heavy! The children were also able to hold the mace, which also proved to be very heavy. The photographs of the visit will be on the website soon. The children are now looking forward to the Mayoress visiting Ridgefield.
