In year 4, we learned about the contributions of black artists for Black History Month. We looked at the works of Kerry James Marshal, then reproduced some of his paintings using tracing and grid methods.
In year 5, we also studied the contributions of black artist. The artist we focused on was Jean Michelle Basquiate. We thought he had funny hair, but loved learning about using expressive lines and bright colours!
