Children are welcome to have a school lunch, a packed lunch or to go home at lunch to eat. School dinners are provided byCambridgeshire Catering Service (CCS) and are cooked on the premises daily by Mrs Day and her dedicated team. Our School dinners are made from fresh produce and always include vegetables, fresh fruit and vegetarian options. Children are encouraged to eat a healthy and balanced diet. If your child has any specific dietary requirements please contact the school. To read more about our catering service partner please see there website by clicking here.
Lunch money should be sent to school each Monday (or the first day of term) in a sealed envelope, clearly labelled with the child’s name and class, with cheques made payable to Ridgefield Primary School. School lunches are £2.00per day – £10.00 per week. All money should be paid in advance. It is helpful if families with more than one child taking school lunches could bring their payments in separate envelopes. Except in cases of emergency, children must either have school dinners for a week at a time.
If your child is entitled to have help with school dinners please contact Mrs Dewey in the school office. If you think you may need help funding school dinners, please click the following link for application forms and more information.
