Ridgefield was lucky enough to have a personal visit from Madam Mayor herself, to help us plant our symbolic seed for our Big Tree Sculpture. Each year came up with a list of hopes, aspirations and dreams for our school and the students within it, with some beautiful ideas, and also lots of requests for more time spend on the field during play times!
The mayor then planted these wishes into a “seed” and covered it with the ground, with an extra heavy pat on top to make sure it stayed!
She also had a tour of each class, looked over some of the school councils memory boxes, and just had time for a few refreshments with the school council before having to leave us just in time for the children to have lunch!
